Fathom is for sale!

After twelve and a half years of Ownership, many adventures and a lap of the world, it’s time to move Fathom on to a new home.

I have invested a lot of effort and ££ recently getting her back into first-class shape; all that’s required are some provisions onboard, and Fathom is ready to sail around the world again!

Displacement: 4064kg
Hull Construction: GRP Hull with encapsulated keel
Keel Type: Long keel with cut away
Cruising speed: 5.5kts

Some major upgrades during my ownership and recent improvements include:-

* Re-engine in 2014 with Yanmar 3YM20 and recent professional overhaul – 2024
* New Cutlass bearing, new stern seal, new propeller shaft and alignment check – 2024
* Darglow Featherstream propeller
* 100W Solar panel on stern arch
* Standing rigging replaced 2018
* Large sail inventory including spare Yankee, spare Staysail and spare Mainsail
* Single Line reefing setup – all reefing for Reef’s 1 to 3 can be done from the cockpit
* Maxwell electric windlass with remote control in the cockpit
* Raymarine C95 Chart plotter – with world charts
* All bronze thru hulls changed for True Design composite ones – 2024
* Aries windvane stripped down and rebuit with all new bushings and new shaft – 2024
* Extendable starboard berth
* Cabin woodwork revarnished – 2024
* New interior cushion covers – 2024
* Folding mast steps to allow easy access to mast stop.

She is lying afloat at Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
